Where Practical Wisdom
Meets Artificial Intelligence

Phronesis AI brings philosophical rigor to the age of machine intelligence — helping leaders navigate AI with practical wisdom, ethical clarity, and strategic depth.

Phronesis: The Art of
Wise Deliberation

In Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, phronesis — practical wisdom — is the intellectual virtue that governs all others. It is the capacity to deliberate well about what is good and beneficial, not in a narrow sense, but for a flourishing life overall.

We believe this ancient framework is precisely what modern AI strategy lacks. Technology decisions are not merely technical — they are deeply ethical, organizational, and human. Phronesis AI applies virtue-theoretic thinking to AI adoption, governance, and leadership, ensuring that intelligence — both artificial and human — serves genuinely good ends.

Our consulting is built on the conviction that the best AI strategies emerge when philosophical clarity meets technical expertise, and when leaders cultivate the intellectual and moral virtues necessary to wield powerful technologies responsibly.

Consulting for the Thoughtful Executive

Each engagement is tailored to your context. We offer strategic counsel at the intersection of AI capability and ethical leadership.

I

AI Strategy & Governance

Develop robust AI strategies grounded in your organization's values. We help you build governance frameworks that balance innovation with responsibility — informed by virtue ethics and cutting-edge research on AI reasoning and agency.

II

Executive AI Literacy

Deep, philosophically informed briefings on what AI can and cannot do. Move beyond hype and fear to genuine understanding — including the nature and limits of large language models, their reasoning capacities, and their implications for your domain.

III

Ethical Risk & Assessment

Rigorous evaluation of AI deployments through the lens of practical wisdom. We identify ethical risks that technical audits miss — from epistemic justice concerns to the impact of automation on organizational virtue and human flourishing.

IV

Responsible AI Integration

Hands-on guidance for deploying AI systems that reflect your values. We bridge the gap between philosophical principle and engineering practice, ensuring your AI serves not just efficiency, but genuine human good.

His research sits at the nexus of the Philosophy of Language and Natural Language Processing, focusing on argumentation, inference, and reasoning.

His academic work explores fundamental questions about AI systems — from the principled limitations in reasoning capacities of purely neural architectures to the nature of LLM agency (through a Kantian-pragmatist lens). He has published in leading venues including Journal of Logic, Language, and Information, EMNLP, Philosophy & Technology, and ACL Main.

His current research projects, "AI-R" and "M-Rational"develop novel frameworks for multi-perspective reasoning in Natural Language Inference Architectures, combining insights from inferentialism, Philosophy of Logic, and Natural Language Processing.
